1. Aim & Objectives of the Public Authority:

     Janata College, Satmile, Hindol, Dhenkanal is a Private-Aided- College imparting Education at Higher Secondary +2 in Arts & Science and at Graduation level.The main Objectives of the institution are :
i)
To promote quality learning and creativity among students & teachers.

ii)
To inclucate love for learning among the students.

iii)
To make the learners grow mentally,morally & physically fit human being

iv)
To promote higher education of rural girls.

2. Mission/Vision Statement of the College:

The vision of the Institution is to educate ,inspire & disseminate the rural Youth.

3. Brief History of its Organisation

     Janata College,Satmile started with intermediate Arts classes on 9th August 1978 with the bliss of Goddess Maa Budhi Thakurani,Satmile.The modmitable spirit and strong will of Mr. Trinath Nayak,Ex-Minister Health and welfare,Odisha & Mr. Bhubanananda of the sleepingilions.

     The College got Government Recognition and affiliation from Utkal University, Vani Vihar,Bhubaneswar in the year 1979-1980. It opened Degree classes Arts in 1986 and received first Grant-in-Aid with effect from 01.01.1985.It opened Degree Classes in science in 2005-2006.Now the College Provides education in +2 Arts & Science,+3 Arts (Pass) & Hons in History, Pol. Sc, Odia & Geography & Science. (Pass Course only).

Procedure Followed in Decision Making Process

1. What is the Procedure followed to take a decision for various matters? (A reference to Secretariat Manual and Rule of Business Manual, and other Rules/ Regulations etc. can be made).

a) As per Direction oh DHE. Govt. of Odisha.
b) By the GB of the College.
c) By the Principal in consultation with different internal committees/Bodies of the College like: College Advisory Board & College Staff Council.
d) In consultation with the public/parents.
e) In Consultation with the Students.

2. What are the documented Procedures/ laid down Procedures/ Defined Criteria/ Rules to arrive at a particular decision for important matters? What are different levels through which a decision process moves?

a) As per the Educational manuals,Service Rules Govt. of Odisha, Circulars from DHE, Govt. of Odisha/ Directorate of H.E, Govt.of Odisha/ RDE,/ Utkal University/ CHSE, Odisha.
b) At the College level the Principal places certain proposal in the College Advisory Board. Then the proposal is moved for the approval of the College G.B. Finally the same is sent for the approval of Govt. through the Director of Higher Education.

3. What are the Arrangements to communicate the decision to the Public?

Decisions are communicate to the public through College Notice Board,Wall Notice, News Papers Public meetings and letters to the public/parents.

4. Who are the Officers at various levels whose opinions are sought for the process of decision making?

b) Opening of new subject sociology in +2 Arts
c) Extension of seats in +2 Science from 64 to 126 seats
