“RTI is a weapon which should be used in a noble way”


Jatani/20.01.2018:One day Block level RTI workshop has conducted for the PRI members, First Appellate Authorities, Public Information Officers and Assistant Public Information Officers on date 20.01.2018 at Block Conference hall, Jatani with the leadership of DI&PRO, Bhubaneswar Shri Barada Prasanna Das. 60 participants were presented in the workshop. Smt. Banaja Jena Jatani Panchayat Samiti Chair Person inaugurated the Programme by lighting the lamp.

Among others, Sri Jaya Surya Rath, OAS, Block Development Officer, Jatani, Sri Horsha Parichha,Domain Expert, Luminous Infoways Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar were present on the occasion. Before commencement of the Training Programme, the dignitaries spoke about usability and utility of RTI Act through which transparency and accountability will be maintained. Block Development Officer, Jatani Sri Rath said “RTI is a weapon which should be used in a noble way”.

In his introductory address, Shri Barada Prasanna Das, Bhubaneswar presented the keynotes of the RTI Act and cited about the aims & objectives of the programme.

Sri Horsha Parichha, Domain Expert Luminous Infoways informed that RTI CMM is a web page G to C and G to G. In this system all the Departments of the Government and Sub-ordinate Offices are given User-ID and password to manage their pro-active disclosures under Section-4(1)b of the Act. He also facilitated regarding on-line lodging of RTI application with payment gate way system.

Among others, various PRI members and public information officers, first appellate authorities and Assistant public information officers were present.

At last DIPRO, Bhubaneswar concluded the workshop with vote of thanks.
