Balipatana/30.01.2018: Block level RTI workshop has conducted for PRI members and Public Information Officer (PIOs), Assistant Public Information Officers(APIOs) and First Appellate Authority(FAAs). From Balipatana Block 55 particpant were present in the workshop. In the Workshop Smt. Rashmi Rekha Das, OAS, Block Development Officer, Balipatana underlined that In Official secret Act, there was no provision to provide information to the public Domain for citizen centric view point. Through RTI Act every information can be provided by Public Authority in order to establish transparency and accountability to the Public Authority. She cited that, “the basic objectives of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government”.

Thereafter District Information and Public Relation Officer Sri Barada Prasanna Das, Bhubaneswar explained the key notes.

Thereafter as a resource person Content Service provider to state RTI portal Sri Horsha Parichha explained the basis and evolution of RTI. After this Mr. Parichha presented RTI central Monitoring Mechanism (RTI CMM) with power point presentation. He also stressed on regular updating of proactive disclosures and e-filing. At the last DI&PRO concluded the programme with vote of thanks.
