Baleswar/27.02.2018: District-level RTI workshop was conducted at Sadbhabana Sabha Gruha conference hall Baleswar on date 27.02.2018. 72 participant were presented in the workshop. Shri Ramesh Chandra Raut ,IAS, Collector & District Magistrate Baleswar inaugurated the workshop by lighting the candle. Among others Sri Manmoth Kumar Pani, OAS(S) Additional District Magistrate, Baleswar and Sub-Collector, Baleswar Sri Paresh Chandra Marndi, OAS(I)S.B. were also presented. Mr Subash Chandra Nial, DI&PRO, Baleswar had presented the key notes and cited the objectives of RTI and its usability.
Collector & District Magistrate Baleswar briefed on evolution of RTI Acts 2005. He said that, “RTI Act is a Statutory law, Public Information Officer should maintain in the right way and righr time”. It establishes transparency and accountability of Public Authority for smooth functioning of government. In the meanwhile Sub-Collector, Baleswar Sri Paresh Chandra Marndi also explained how the Act has formulated and enacted forcefully throughout the nation.
There after Mr Horsha Parichha from Luminous Infoways made a presentation of RTI Act, rule and online application of RTI CMM web portal Govt. of Odisha. It is a facility to file RTI applications online with the provision to make payment of RTI fees through e-Payment gateway system. At the last DI&PRO Baleswar concluded the workshop with vote of thanks.
