Bhubaneswar:08.02.2022/District level RTI training programme have conducted through virtual mode for Public Information Officer Assistant Public Information officer and First appellate Authority of different offices. In this training programme PIO and FAA of ICDS offices were present.
Sri Horsha Parichha, Domain Expert, RTI PMU Cell, Information & Public Relation Department, Govt. of Odisha Bhubaneswar encouraged the participant and said that, any citizen of India who desires to obtain any information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 may make a request to the Public Information Officer. He also explained "The objective of RTI Act is to establish a transparent and accountable Government, where citizen is well-informed." He appealed all PIOs to be aware of the act and disseminate as much as information proactively to the citizen.
There after Sri Parichha, described the objectives and importance of the act to the participating officers/ PIOs, APIOs, FAAs. He also clearly imparted practical implementation of RTI CMM(www.rtiodisha.gov.in). He said “It is a platform to file RTI applications online with the provision to make payment of RTI fees through internet banking”.
