Bhubaneswar/01.05.2023: In Block level Right to Information and RTI Central Monitoring Mechanism (www.rtiodisha.gov.in) virtual training programme has been conducted for Public Information Officers, Assistant Public Information officers, Administrative unit wise PIOs and First appellate Authority for Keonjhar, Khordha and Koraput districts.
This virtual training programme was conducted on date 01.05.2023 from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM. The main objectives of the training programme was “Maintenance of RTI public authority account in State RTI portal, online compliance of RTI application/Appeal” and auto generation of RTI registers, . Sri Horsha Parichha, Domain Expert, RTI PMU Cell, Information & Public Relation Department, Govt. of Odisha Bhubaneswar imparted the training successfully through both theory and practical lessons on the implementation of Right to Information and management of RTI CMM.
In the interaction session of the training programme, many of the ABDOs raised the question regarding amount of cost of information for supplying information for BPL category applicant. Participant discussed clearly regarding provisons of the RTI Act and Rules. Some of the officers questioned how to intimate “B” form to the applicant and receive the reply of requested information from u/-5(4) in a public authority which was very clearly explained by the facilitator. At last the facilitator advised to integrate their all Gram Panchayat offices on the RTI portal at the earliest , if not done yet, and make available disclosures bilingually.
