Cuttack /13.12.2017:One day district level RTI workshop has conducted for the Assistant Public Information Officers, Public Information Officers and First Appellate Authorities, on date 13.12.2017 at Panchayat Samiti Conference hall, Kantapada with the collaboration of district Administration and DI&PRO, Cuttack . In the training programme there were 81 participants. Sri Bijay Kumar Khandayat Ray, Additional District Magistrate, Cuttack inaugurated the Programme by lighting the lamp. Before starting the programme District Information and Public Relation, Officer, Cuttack Sri Minaketan Behera presented the keynotes.

Among others, Sri Abani Kumar Sahu, Block Development Officer, Kantapada, S. A. Husen, Block Development Officer, Niali, Smt. Smitarani Swain, Panchayat Samiti Chair Persion, Kantapada, Sri Pathani Rout, Information Officer I&PR, Cuttack, Horsha Parichha,Domain Expert, Luminous Infoways Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar, and Lalit Mishra, senior Advocate, Cuttack chaired on the occasion. In the stage the dignitaries spoke about the importance and relevance of RTI Act for the public as well as the Public Authorities at every sphere of life. Shri Khandayatray ADM, Cuttack described “RTI Act, 2005 and its management through RTI CMM has brought social change for transparency and accountability”.

In his welcome speech Lalit Mishra Senior Advocate, Cuttack emphasized on accountability of Public Authority.

Sri Horsha Parichha, Domain Expert Luminous Infoways informed that Right to Central Monitoring Mechanism is a Government to citizen (G to C) and Government to Government (G to G) service web portal. In this system all the Departments of the Government and Sub-ordinate Offices are given with User-ID and password to manage their pro-active disclosures under Section-4(1)(a)( b)( c)( d) of the Act. He also facilitated regarding online implementation of RTI CMM, how to disposal of applications through on-line as well as uploading and up-dating of the pro-active disclosures and e-report system.

After that a Question-Answer Session was held to clear the doubts of the public authorities and to get the feedbacks from them.

Among others, various people’s representatives, SHG and Volunteer Organization members were present.

At last DIPRO, Cuttack concluded the workshop with vote of thanks.
