Bhubaneswar/27.05.2022: Odisha has been a leading state in implementation of Right to Information Act, 2005. This has come to light in the DI&PROs conference of I&PR department on 27.05.2022. It was conducted in the conference hall, I&PR department where departmental officials zonal Deputy Directors and 32 DI&PROs were present.
In the said conference Shri Raghunandan Das Honorable Minister Water Resources & I&PR Department, Shri Bishnupada Sethi, IAS, Principal Secretary, Shri Indramani Tripathy, IAS, Director, Dr. Lenin Mohanty, Editor, Utkal Prasanga & Odisha review, Shri Surendranath Parida, Technical Director, I&PR were present on the dais.
In his speech Honorable Minister emphasized for extending Lokseva through 5T & Mo Sarkaar initiatives of the Government. Principal Secretary Sri Sethi said “the DI&PROs should use the latest Information Technology for Publicity Activity”. Director emphasized for effective implementation of 5T initiatives of the government. The editor, Utkal Prasanga & Odisha Review focused on transformational changes of mode of governance to reach the government initiative to the general public. The Director Technical elaborated how the DI&PROs have proved their efficiency during hard times like lock down/shutdown and othersadverse situations despite minimum resources. In the conference Sri Horsha Parichha Domain Expert, RTI PMU, I&PR Department explained implementation of RTI CMM(www.rtiodisha.gov.in) with emphasizing on following points.
1. Compliance of section 4(1)(a)(b)(c)(d) &4(2)(4) of RTI Act, 2005
2. Process of disposal of online RTI Application
3. Process of disposal of online RTI Appeal
4. Flow of RTI Application and Appeal online
5. Challenges & Bottleneck of online implementation of RTI Act, 2005
