Bhubaneswar/28.03.2024: An RTI Training programme has been conducted for 40 numbers of Assistant Public Information Officers(APIOs) of Panchayat Raj & Drinking Water Department on 28.03.2024 at Conference hall, Panchayat Raj & Drinking Water Department Loka Seva Bhawan. Smt Swayamprava Mohanty, Additional Secretary to Government PR&DW Deptt. encouraged all ASOs for active participation in the programme saying that the basic objective of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government.

After that Sri Horsha Parichha, Domain Expert, RTI PMU Cell, Information & Public Relation Department, Govt. of Odisha Bhubaneswar explained important RTI Acts & RTI Rules relating to the process of filing applications and memorandum of appeals, processing them at the PIO end etc. Thereafter, he made a PowerPoint presentation regarding flow of compliance of RTI Application and Appeal. Later on there was Q&A session and then at 5.30 PM additional Secretary concluded the training with vote of thanks.
